Third Party Validation provides Customer Confidence.
To build on our expertise EST has pursued many educational and accreditation opportunities for the laboratory and our staff. Since 2005, we have been an ISO 17025 Certified Laboratory, originally through AIHA-LAP, LLC Accredited Environmental Microbiology Laboratory and most recently through the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB). The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) invited us to participate in the pilot ELITE Program (Environmental Legionella Isolation Techniques Evaluation Program) and deemed us a proficient Legionella laboratory in 2010 and we remain proficient to this day. We are also recognized as an American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC) employer of council certified personnel.
CDC ELITE Legionella Certification
The CDC has provided laboratories the opportunity to test their Legionella isolation techniques against standardized samples through the Environmental Legionella Isolation Techniques Evaluation Program (ELITE). Participating labs receive a panel of lyophilized test samples twice each year from the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene.
