Why test for Legionella Bateria? The benefits of routine testing for Legionella far outweigh the potential health and legal risks involved in not testing:
- Preventing potential and sometimes fatal outbreaks of Legionnaires Disease.
- Safeguarding the health and well-being of building tenants and visitors.
- Providing documented historical data to protect building owners and managers against litigation in the event of an outbreak.
- Supplementing a comprehensive maintenance program when performing HVAC preventive maintenance.
We offer a comprehensive range of AIHA accredited Legionella testing, sampling and microbiological laboratory analysis services capable of undertaking an extensive range of analyses.
Legionella Culture & Direct Fluorescent Antibody (DFA)
This test provides a total heterotrophic bacterial count and identification of Legionella bacteria, both viable (via culture) and nonviable (via DFA). A screen for Pseudomonas aeruginosa is included free for all decorative fountain, whirlpool, spa, and swimming pool samples.
Turnaround: 7-10 days
*Each sample includes: Risk Summary, Report, & Recommendations
Rapid Legionella Screen* (4 day)
This test provides a total heterotrophic bacterial count and identification of Legionella bacteria, both viable (via culture) and nonviable (via DFA). A screen for Pseudomonas aeruginosa is included for all decorative fountain, whirlpool, spa, and swimming pool samples.
Turnaround: 4 days from receipt
